Just got done installing the aFe Turbo Inlet Pipe paired with the aFe CAI. Took roughly 1.5 hours. If you plan on getting one just be aware that installing it on a hybrid model is much more of a pain in the ass due to the extra piping around the intake tube. Hardest part of the install was removing the OEM inlet pipe through the nest of tubes.
Well worth it though.
The sound from just the CAI was decent, but the extra baffling/muffler chamber in the OEM inlet pipe really does muffle the sound. You could hear the turbo, but it was sort of like holding a towel over your mouth and talking. After putting the new inlet pipe on you notice a distinct clarity and volume difference.
From a performance perspective it's night and day. Turbo spools way quicker and made the butt dyno happy. I really can't believe a simple pipe would make that much of a difference, but it does!
Videos do it zero justice, but I'll add some since someone will want to hear it. Sounds completely different and louder in person. Day clip is just CAI, night clip is CAI + inlet pipe.
