Has anyone installed the aFe Cold Air Intake Momentum GT and have any positive or negative feedback about it? There doesn't seem to be much reviews about it. The first video I found and watched on it showed the person driving and flooring it with the Check Engine Light lit on the dashboard. Lol...Maybe I already have my answer from watching that video about the aFe Cold Air Intake Momentum GT.

There is a lot of reviews and detailed info about the SXTH Element CPLT Intake. Right now, I'm leaning toward installing the SXTH Element CPLT Intake but want to make sure that consider a few others out there before I make my decision.

Just installed SXTH and I love the turbo noises. I have been driving for a week and have zero codes. I tried to record the noises but had no success. Makes the 4Runner a blast to drive, like it needed that. LOL

Install SXTH

Unboxing and checking out quality

I installed my aFe intake with the dry filter back in July. No issues what so ever. Fitment was perfect and instructions were very clear. Looks and sounds great. There's no reason I wouldn't recommend it.

I had one for a day on my 25 Trailhunter. Seemed to work great for 1 minute then threw fault code stating engine power reduced go to dealership… non Trailhunter or TRD Pro, probably really good upgrade.

Did you install the aFe Magnum GT cold air intake or the SXTH Element CPLT intake? I think both products have exceptions noted on the respective product Websites about not to install it in the TRD Pro and Trailhunter. I read somewhere it has to do with the mass airflow sensor in the TRD Pro and Trailhunter being different than the other 4Runner models.

I've updated the heading to this thread to reflect an additional cold air intake product that I'm also considering (the Banks Ram-Air).

Has anyone installed and have feedback about the Banks Ram-Air cold air intake? Their Website advertises +18.3 HP and +17.7 lb-ft torque which is better than what SXTH Element CPLT Intake and aFe Magnum GT advertise. The sound produced by the Banks Ram-Air sounds more aggressive from their video. The only thing I don't like about the Banks product is that it seems that they only offer an oiled filter with its Ram-Air cold air intake for the 4Runner. I've read that oiled filters can possibly foul or damage your mass air flow sensor and cause your Check Engine Light to come on.
