Hi all i was looking to see if anyone was able to program aftermarket TPMS specifically the MAX tpms GEN 5? I have them installed on a new set of wheels and cant seem to get it programmed. I read in the owners manual you can register the id yourself - page 545. I have tried and tried and no luck. Does anyone else use or used these sensor?

I programmed universal Autel MX Sensors as TPMS for my winter wheels. My programmer didn't have the 2025 4runner, but programming as a 2024 worked fine (looked like most Toyota models in recent years use the same type of sensor).

Getting the 4runner to learn the new sensors was a little more tricky. Follow the instructions on Page 549 for registering ID codes (545 is for a Tire Rotation using existing sensors and might work differently?).

It wouldn't learn the new ones after a few days of normal commuting, until I realized the instructions ask you to drive continuously above 25mph for 15-30mins. I went and drove on the highway for about 25mins with no stops, and that finally worked and it recognized them. No issues since then.

If you can, check with your TPMS reader to make sure the new sensors are awake and programmed correctly, and if so, try driving continuously on a highway for ~30mins or so and see if that helps.
