Recently purchased a 2025 TRD Pro and awaiting delivery! It comes with the OEM 4runner mud flaps and I'm wondering if I they're worth keeping or asking for them to be removed. How much value do they bring? I live in Souther California, will be driving this car in the city but also plan to get into off roading as well. Currently never been but I hope to make it a hobby going forward.

How much value do these mud flaps bring? Are they risking damage if I plan to take them off road? Would I better off getting a non OEM version? My primary reason for wanting them removed, I don't like how they look.

Some people seem to be seeking permission to perform certain mods on their vehicles. I say just do what you like and forget anybody else's opinion. And enjoy that fabulous Pro!

THey're pretty stiff, I replaced mine with Rally Armor which are much more flexible.

They do protect the paint for sure, and they also stop snow from getting on rock rails (not that you have that problem in CA).
