Tired of items rolling out of your 4Runner’s side storage cubby? This Trunk Side Panel Cover offers a practical solution.

Featuring a convenient press-to-open mechanism, it transforms your open cubby into a secure, enclosed compartment, keeping gear like tools or bottles safely stored while preventing dust buildup. It also conceals messy internal wiring to provide a clean, professional finish.

The cover is crafted from high-quality ABS material, chosen for its excellent impact resistance and toughness. These physical properties allow the panel to withstand daily wear and tear effectively. No drilling is required. Simply embed the cover into the existing opening for a secure fit.

This cover is molded for the passenger side storage cubby of the 2025-2026 4Runner. Please note that it is not compatible with Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Trailhunter models, nor those equipped with optional premium speaker packages.

Great idea. Please make somthing like this for the 3rd row cup holder/cubby. I dont have a 3rd row and want a lid or storage box so I can keep things in those like jumper cables, tools etc.
That makes sense! Is this the area you’re referring to? I want to make sure I’ve understood your idea correctly.

Yes, that area! It's not very useful as is. Some type of hinged or sliding cover to keep loose items in the cubby. Or it could be an even taller box that fits perfectly into that space.

Or entirely new side panels with either more storage or that remove the useless protrusions into the cargo area. LOTS of room for improvements.

If someone made replacement side panels that wasted less space I would pay $$$ for something like that. Even if it was not super polished. Im not going to take a sawzall to my brand new truck but it is tempting to just cut those stupid cup holders out and cover it up with carpet lol. Here is what the back of the 4runner should have looked like...

Seconded. I have a third row but it stays down 95% of the time. These storage spaces are useless for the back of a SUV... far too small for anything that matters.

I could even envision a bridged shelf tray from one side to the other and the sides are custom molded to snugly fit in the left and right sides. Though, ideally, it would be reinforced with, or fully built out of steel or aluminum.
