  1. ICE CAP WHITE Photos 4Runner 6th Gen (2025+)

Yeah - I swapped back to the OEM exhaust system this weekend. The noise (drone/resonance/rumble/cacophony -pick your adjective ) was just horrendous in the 1500-2000 rpm range in high gear when a load was demanded. If you listen closely to the stock system you’ll hear a little rumble in this...
  2. Stuck in mud at Pine Barrens. Noob

Definitely the ditch lightsā€¦šŸ˜‚. You would benefit from a more aggressive tread pattern, airing down, and momentum. Of course I’ve done all of the above and still had the same result as you. Part of the fun of off roading.. To recover, traction boards and a winch would be helpful, or a buddy...
  3. OME MT64 lift kit installed (front set at 2.25") + Dobinsons C59-885V rear springs + Raceline Rogue 18X8.5 wheels + Goodyear 275/70/18 Ultra Terrain

Ok - that’s a good call about the tarp. What areas do you avoid? I’m assuming the exhaust. You said it takes a while to set up. Like 24 hours?
  4. BFG KO3 275/70/18 on Trailhunter OEM wheels

It’s the weight. That was my concern because my baseline MPG is not great…17-18. Bumper is ADD Stealth Center Mount.
  5. BFG KO3 275/70/18 on Trailhunter OEM wheels

Wow - great road trip! That is going to be some fantastic country. I’m trying to get down to Big Bend in May and run Black Gap, but that kinda’ pales in comparison….
  6. BFG KO3 275/70/18 on Trailhunter OEM wheels

Lol…I hear you. I was definitely hitting overload on the tire info spectrum myself.
  7. BFG KO3 275/70/18 on Trailhunter OEM wheels

I stuck with the AT3. It’s been a good tire and I haven’t had any issues off-road. The combo, Method/AT3 285/75/17 C, only added 14# per/corner…but, yes MPG dropped 1.0 -1.5 depending on how I drive. That was a big concern for me and why I was avoiding the E loads, at least as long as the...
  8. BFG KO3 275/70/18 on Trailhunter OEM wheels

Sure. I was concerned about how much weight per/corner I was adding with the load range E. Only available load range C at the time was the Falken ATW4 which is a great tire but it would have added 24 # per/corner. I have to be realistic because I’m only getting off-road 2-3 times a month so the...
  9. BFG KO3 275/70/18 on Trailhunter OEM wheels

Completely understand. I tried real hard to just replace tires because I really liked the TH look. The 17ā€ wheels offered a better selection of tires in different load ranges at this time. I talked to BFG about when they might offer the KO3 in a 18ā€ load range C. They said the KO3 was on a...
  10. BFG KO3 275/70/18 on Trailhunter OEM wheels

I put the Westcott Preload Collar on and went with 17ā€ rims to gain more sidewall with 285/75/17 on TH. Preload Collar hasn’t affected handling except less nose dive when stopping. Good news is the 285/75/17 will fit in the spare space with slight deflation. Not really concerned about that with...
  11. 2026 Trailhunter Build: Westcott Lift + Sliders, Toyo AT3 C 285/75/17, Method 709 HD 17” +25 offset, ADD Stealth Center Mount Bumper + Warn EVO 12S

It’s working out well…noticeable increase in acceleration before bigger tires/increased weight in front. After updates still good acceleration- just burning more gas. That was expected unfortunately.
  12. Beat Sonic ENA-3T3 and Camera Failure

Quick up-date. Let Beat Sonic know what was going on and their customer service is outstanding! Checked pins on 28 pin connector and suggested best placement for TH. Reinstalled this weekend and everything is working again. Really impressed with their responsiveness.

Westcott Preload Collar Kit: Front + 2.5ā€, Rear + .75, level, preserves OEM capability. Toyo AT3 C 285/75/17: More rubber when airing down, fits spare compartment w/ slight deflation, tucks nicely with articulation. ADD Stealth Center Mount Bumper + Warn EVO 12S: Better protection, approach...

Yeah builds can become quite the rabbit hole…lol. I’m already ā€œupgradingā€ the TH. Amsoil looks like a good bet. Did you do it yourself? Love your Taco- what suspension did you use?
  17. Project Trailhunter

Wow - this thread turned ugly pretty quick…lol. Almost regret making a joke about how useless the TH roof rack is in terms of accessories…almost. Anyway, to each his own.
