also forgot to add, year 1 and 2 of a new gen toyota doesnt really do any changes. they are still ironing out assembly line nuances. you wont see any options or PIO options change until year 3 of the new gen. so waiting for a 2026 wont materially change anything when you compare it to a 2025...
what you consider poor works just fine for toyota. and the 4runner 6th gen has had its normal MY cycle changed from previous gens. it use to be oct was the beginning of a new MY, but it looks like they have shifted it to jan or feb as the new MY cycle.
which means 2026 will probably not start...
once it lands, once it leave port for PIO installed items, tracking by rail is sporadic at best. you can get updates via the dealer if they log into dealerdaily website and pull up a pipeline status screen. it will give a rough estimate of last rail location.
if you can get the rail container...
now that its been a few hours, i have a big ???
when looking at the chart...
how is the 2025 yr number at 67k for the 4runner and i just had mine built in 22-aug-2025 with a serial number of 18021 ?
that makes no sense, and i have seen some later sequence numbers in the 21-22k but no where...
v6 are reserved for lexus outside the big toyota vehicles like the tundra and sequoia.
even the lowly lexus rx is going back to a v6 engine if i remember correctly.
pretty simple really but this video is for NON BoF hybrid systems. the tundra, tacoma, seqouia, 4runner uses a different hybrid setup called the 1MHV setup. on the BoF hybrid system there is only 1 electric motor not 2 in the normal toyota hybrids.
in a nutshell is laid out ...
engine > clutch...
not on my 4R, i really dont bling it out. the wife's tundra we tend to bling it out a bit more.
but for me its my network rack, thats a different story :)
my pride and joy and its taken about 10 yrs to get to this point, once i got the 32u Server Rack (Full Depth), things got way easier.
34 miles
morning home to work 16.5 miles
afternoon from work to home 17.3 miles
or
32 miles :
morning home to work 16.5 miles
afternoon from work to home 15.3 miles
if we avg it, 33 miles a day x 4 days a week (i work 4x10's) = 132 miles week
this doesnt take into account the winters and...
it will really come down to the creature comforts since you are 80/20 city/off road.
look at the differences you can live without and those you want in the luxury / Quality of Life / Creature comforts.
here is a link to compare the SR5 vs the TRD Sport vs the TRD Sport Prem

i mean i have a wooden hammer handle i use to break up snow pack from the wheels during winter that makes my wheels out of balance.
northern tier snow people will understand :)
ps: i use that same handle to knock snow/hardened slush from the mud flaps, wheel wells and underside of the running...
the big issue is snow build up behind the gaps between the bolts and angled parts and the snow packing in, melting then freezing again. from december-to march it never gets above freezing, and jan/feb we hit the negatives hard to the point we can hit -20F ambient during february
thats the issue...
its not a issue the software, its a quirk of doing remote starts and leaving your head unit on from last ignition on. this has been the norm with BT connection on toyota head unit since the late 2000's. this is nothting new for the old timers.
its because you remote start it, the head unit...
lol as least yours looks new.
i still have my camo tri-fold wallet from basic training (nov-1987). granted the velco is gone, the plastic window to hold and show my id is gone from the outside.
sad part its kinda hard to get rid of now since its going on like 40 yrs with it even though it...
