That looks great. That smoked dark chrome logo looks sweet, especially on the Underground color. How difficult was the install if you're an average dude like me who can change his oil, but not much else?
Well, you have it good up there, for sure. You deserve it based on your loyalty and number of cars bought from that dealership. I wish other dealers shared the same business model, but they don't down here in Florida. You've probably seen on another thread on this site that a Florida dealer...
@Nodak I did read it wrong. I just looked at it quickly and saw the dreaded 'dealer adjustment' and $1,000 next to it and didn't see the 'minus $1,000'. It didn't even enter my mind that there actually exists a place where a dealer would put up $1,000 off (without even any negotiations) on the...
Now that I've thought about it more @Nodak , I have figured out your dealer. He's got to get back that money he's losing from your deal so he'll get a market adjustment on some other suckers to balance things out!
To each their own. We all get to build our rigs how we want. I just think, with 9 different trims, there are better choices than the Platinum if you are doing legitimate off roading. I think it's silly to have a skid plate on a Platinum. I'm sure there are some out there, but you don't see...
I think it's cool. I really do. But only about 1% of the general population outside of this forum and a few other similar forums will 'get it'. Still think it's cool, though.
I can't figure out your dealer. He gives you invoice, but tries for a dealer adjustment on others. I was contemplating moving to North Dakota to get my Platinum at invoice, but now in protest to your dealer's market adjustments I will not.
If you are planning on light off-roading, like you say in your post (Forest Service roads) the Platinum will be plenty capable for that. But....if you are wanting to add a skid plate then I don't think the Platinum is your best choice. If you are doing off-roading in which you would need a...
If you asked 100 random people off the street, "Which looks better?".... how many of them would say 'the one on the left'? 85, 90? Maybe more. Hell, even if you asked 100 4Runner owners, "Which looks better, the 6th gen or the 5th gen?" How many of them, if they were being completely honest...
As I research purchasing my upcoming 4Runner I've learned (many of you already know) that the region I'm in, Southeast Toyota SET, is notorious for adding on thousands of dollars in port installed options that most people don't really want. It sounds like Gulf States Toyota largely does the...
If I had the black TRD Sport or TRD Sport Premium, I'd put on the glossy black Platinum wheels. They are both the same sized wheel. That would look sweet.
Things are cyclical. I remember a day when the color white was base and boring. It was cheaper than all other colors. Now we are in a world where the Wind Chill Pearl (white) costs extra. Me personally, I love the black trim (wheels, door handles, roof rack, valances, etc...) on the...
Supersonic red in the Platinum trim is going to look ? with all the black trim/wheels. That red really pops. Anyone notice that we've seen just about every trim level in different colors so far except for the Platinum. For example, we saw the Limited trim in Heritage Blue at the walk-around...
That looks really good! I'd like to do that, but in my state, they won't let you do 5% all around. I'm sure I could find some tint dealer that would probably do it, but then I run the risk of a ticket. Does your state allow 5% or are you just taking the risk? I mean if you get a ticket, it's...
This is the very first thing I'm doing when I get my Platinum home from the dealer. I wonder if the dealer would just take it off for me? It looks like a 2 minute job. I'll sacrifice the small loss of mpg for the by far better looking truck.
Yes it does. Go to the Toyota builder and build a Platinum trim in supersonic red. All the black accents with that red really pops! Supersonic red is growing on me.
