I don't have the time or energy to argue and fight with people over a car purchase any more, I'll probably just pay a broker $1,000 to do it for me and then fly wherever I need to :D
I would never have bought them, because who in the hell pays THAT much money for a step?!?! But I got them for free, basically. I traded photography work for them...It was something that I would have photographed for fun anyway, sooo... :D
Since they've been on the truck for 12 years, and I've...
I bought in 2013, with a GST "TSS" package on my Tundra. But it was reasonably priced and gave me wheels I liked enough that they're still on the truck 12 years later. First time I've ever done that LOL
Also, I got over 6k off MSRP with about 20 minutes of discussion with sales/managers. So a...
I have them on my Tundra. It was a standard feature in 2013. Personally, I think it should be a requirement for anything with a tow hitch. Such a no-brainer piece of tech, especially for pickups.
I've got power running boards on my Tundra too, and they are fantastic. 4Runner is low enough that I will likely opt for no boards at all, I can just step in; But if I do get them, I'll get powered ones again.
As somebody in the GST area, I'll be specifically looking outside of GST because of the port add on shenanigans.
I'm really looking at ORP with hybrid, but if there are Pros available around MSRP, I may just buy one of those. Add 3-5k in port adds? I'll skip it.
Not all 4Runners are part time 4x4. I believe it's the Limited trim that has full time 4wd as an option and the Platinum has it as standard. No locking center diff though.
You have to really want a Wrangler to tolerate it as a daily if you do much highway at all.
The most frustrating thing about those magnificent piles of shit is the fact that despite (or because of) all their flaws, they're a very engaging vehicle to drive. Objectively, you know it's awful. But...
I'd start answering the phone with "my time costs $4,000 a minute, billed in three minute increments, payable in advance. By placing this call you've agreed to my terms. Would you like to pay via cashapp or wire transfer to begin this call?"
As a Jeep owner, I can tell you that the Bronco is a mile better for around town driving, and can do some hardcore off road stuff.
Reliability between Ford and Jeep is kind of a wash, but I'd trust Ford to fix shit more than Stellantis.
Some of the higher trims are legit 15k off. I went into...
The not-so-shabby compromise here is the Bronco. They ride a LOT better than a Jeep. Still on the noisy and rattle-trap side though, so you have to want it.
They're nice to drive around town, and if they made a fixed roof version, I'd probably already own one.
They're like 15k off MSRP...
You know they make 2WD 4Runners, right?
Could be on their list due to two year resale and they like to buy cars every two years. Could be on their list because it's #1 on every list for people who keep their cars for 20 years. People's criteria vary widely. Not everybody looks at what you look...
