If I'm not mistaken, the OffRoad(s), Trailhunter, and Pro are the only trims that come with the rear locker and Multi Terrain Select/other off-road modes. That's huge (on paper) if you do anything more than fire roads.
GST is one of the biggest reasons I haven't bought a new Toyota in the last few years.
They insist on 2-5 thousand dollars worth of garbage on every truck and SUV before they ship to the dealers. And that's on top of the 20-30% the price of the truck has increased directly from Toyota. Gulf...
It sits in the same place as it did.
It will never truly compete in hard core off-roading. But it's better in pretty much every other measurable metric. Carries more, tows better, more space, quieter, more comfortable, more reliable (only time will tell here, but they all have track records)...
YJ owners unite!
I've got a 94.
As for why I'm buying a 6th gen?
I'm not sure I am. It's going to be $60,000 or more for an ORP. That's absurd and I'm not sure I'm going to pay it.
There's nothing wrong with my 2013 Tundra.
I've driven the Tacoma hybrid quite a bit as well as a LC or two...And I'm assuming the 4Runner with the hybrid will be similar to them.
I've said this before...They legit drive like a diesel. Gobs of torque right at the bottom with very light throttle engagement, then they fall on their face...
Having a Tundra with the roll down rear window...I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be a factor in choosing between these two. It's higher on the list of pro-4Runner than I'd like to admit LOL
It's really sensitive and very difficult to use the gas pedal at all without the engine kicking on (and this was subtle, but very noticeable once you expect it). I think that's a characteristic of the hybrid being designed for power and not MPG. The motor helping the engine from a stop is what...
Not quite what you're asking...But I rented a Limited Taco with the AWD setup and the the iForce Max. 90% of the time, I drive the speed limit in the slow lane with the cruise set. Over the course of several days, mostly rural highway (not interstate) driving, I came out at a solid 26 MPG. To...
Questions like this are why I come to forums instead of Facebook.
I live rurally, and there are no street lights for the most part. Road glare is awful and I'm very light sensitive, so I understand this concern. Also, people with mobility issues in the family need to know how high the damn...
Almost 4 grand in unselected and unskippable trash add ons from the port and the dealer.
This is why Toyota hasn't gotten me to buy a new vehicle from them in years. It just keeps getting worse and they don't care. My last couple were new, but I'll 100% go back to buying used because of this.
