  1. Gulf States Toyota (GST) not releasing 2025 4Runners to dealers yet? [Update: vehicles have arrived now]

Somebody posted pictures of a black ORP at a dealer in TX. So maybe there isn't a hold on them.
  2. Off-Road Premium (ORP) vs LIMITED differences?

If I'm not mistaken, the OffRoad(s), Trailhunter, and Pro are the only trims that come with the rear locker and Multi Terrain Select/other off-road modes. That's huge (on paper) if you do anything more than fire roads.
  3. Gulf States Toyota (GST) not releasing 2025 4Runners to dealers yet? [Update: vehicles have arrived now]

GST is one of the biggest reasons I haven't bought a new Toyota in the last few years. They insist on 2-5 thousand dollars worth of garbage on every truck and SUV before they ship to the dealers. And that's on top of the 20-30% the price of the truck has increased directly from Toyota. Gulf...
  4. Offroading: Where do you think new 4runner sits compared to its rivals?

It sits in the same place as it did. It will never truly compete in hard core off-roading. But it's better in pretty much every other measurable metric. Carries more, tows better, more space, quieter, more comfortable, more reliable (only time will tell here, but they all have track records)...
  5. Why are you buying the 6th gen 4Runner / replacing your current vehicle?

YJ owners unite! I've got a 94. As for why I'm buying a 6th gen? I'm not sure I am. It's going to be $60,000 or more for an ORP. That's absurd and I'm not sure I'm going to pay it. There's nothing wrong with my 2013 Tundra.
  6. SR5 optional third row or mandatory in Canada?

Everything is removable, if you're motivated enough :D
  7. Which Should You Buy? 2025 Land Cruiser vs. 2025 4Runner TRD Off-Road -- Verdict: 4Runner is Clear Winner

I've driven the Tacoma hybrid quite a bit as well as a LC or two...And I'm assuming the 4Runner with the hybrid will be similar to them. I've said this before...They legit drive like a diesel. Gobs of torque right at the bottom with very light throttle engagement, then they fall on their face...
  8. Totaled / crashed 2025 4Runner TRD Pro spotted

    Interesting. That just looks disassembled.
  9. Which Should You Buy? 2025 Land Cruiser vs. 2025 4Runner TRD Off-Road -- Verdict: 4Runner is Clear Winner

Having a Tundra with the roll down rear window...I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be a factor in choosing between these two. It's higher on the list of pro-4Runner than I'd like to admit LOL
  10. Premium fuel 91 octane gains 20 hp / 14 lb-ft torque (vs. 87 octane) on gas engine 2.4L i-Force -- dyno test

If Toyota would unlock their ECM so tuners could get a handle on it, going cornfed on a forced induction engine is definitely The Way.
  11. MPG Fuel Economy Figures + Fuel Capacity for 2025 4Runner 6th Gen (Gas & Hybrid Engines)

It's really sensitive and very difficult to use the gas pedal at all without the engine kicking on (and this was subtle, but very noticeable once you expect it). I think that's a characteristic of the hybrid being designed for power and not MPG. The motor helping the engine from a stop is what...
  12. MPG Fuel Economy Figures + Fuel Capacity for 2025 4Runner 6th Gen (Gas & Hybrid Engines)

Not quite what you're asking...But I rented a Limited Taco with the AWD setup and the the iForce Max. 90% of the time, I drive the speed limit in the slow lane with the cruise set. Over the course of several days, mostly rural highway (not interstate) driving, I came out at a solid 26 MPG. To...
  13. DRIVER EYE / SEAT HEIGHT: 4Runner vs. RAV4

Questions like this are why I come to forums instead of Facebook. I live rurally, and there are no street lights for the most part. Road glare is awful and I'm very light sensitive, so I understand this concern. Also, people with mobility issues in the family need to know how high the damn...
  14. Allocations for 2025 4Runner are here! Delivery begins early February 2025

Almost 4 grand in unselected and unskippable trash add ons from the port and the dealer. This is why Toyota hasn't gotten me to buy a new vehicle from them in years. It just keeps getting worse and they don't care. My last couple were new, but I'll 100% go back to buying used because of this.
