SCC Auto tightening chains fit just fine, I tested a new pair yesterday to make sure they fit. Itās close, and Iād only ever want to do it in an emergency, but itās doable. If you drive a lot in winter itās HIGHLY advisable to just get some proper winter tires like Blizzaks anyway, huge...
I have a Nokhu Halfrack for the back of my 4Runner, a bit inbetween the DIY cot and the $600 Pacific Adventure bed:

2022 Tacoma ORP. I liked how capable it was off road, but as a daily driver it was a pig. I wasn't using the bed enough to warrant getting another pick up when Toyota refreshed the line up, so a 4Runner made more sense for me.
I use Gresham Toyota's online parts website, it's way cheaper than asking at the dealer and they have free shipping too. Be sure to take a look at some of the install videos for the grill too, even just doing the upper one is a LOT, LOT more involved than it used to be on Toyotas in the past.
Do you have to tape these in for them to work? I'd love and option for traveling with the dog int he back seat when it's raining, but to not have them on all the time if I don;t want.
There's no way to turn it off sadly. The best I can tell the piezo that emits that beep is behind the rear bumper, so I haven't had a chance to get to it to remove it yet. Maybe one snowy day soon I'll get motivated and see if I can find that bugger. And the one in the front, I'd love to...
I use Sport unless Iām doing long road trips on the highway with cruise control, then Eco works fine. You can turn off the engine enhancement sounds with Carista BTW, works fine. Personally I thought the enhancement sounds were pretty minor compared to other cars Iāve had that do the same.
Well this morning I was able to fix the issue. I noticed that the clock on the instrument cluster hadnāt changed with daylight savings time even though set to auto, because I have Connected Services disabled. I manually set the correct time and then the trailer message stopped appearing and I...
Those are the steps I'm doing, but for whatever reason the trailer not detected message keeps popping up each time I start the 4R.
I was only using the 4-pin cable on my little trailer. First time ever owning something to actually tow, so I don't have spare adaptors for this kind of stuff...
I didn't even go through the process to add and name the trailer yet, and when I checked in the trailer settings this morning just to be sure there wasn't one there either. Good idea though.
Called the dealer to make an appointment and was told they've seen a few other people have this issue...
I cannot do that, pressing OK does nothing for that setting or any of the other turned off by trailer detect. I have to turn this on and off all the time due to my bike rack so I'm familiar with the process. Thanks though.
Done that, no luck. Sounds like it's a known fault with the Tacomas...
Yes, PKSB is definitely off and I cannot turn it back on manually. And I keep getting the message to confirm the trailer is not connected every time I start the vehicle, even though itās been 6-7 times driving since I used the trailer.
