Quietite
2 inch drop (apparently only comes in that one option)
7500lbs
built-in anti-rattle.
I used a grinder to cut about 1/2 inch off the tail end. That much sticks sout the back of the receiver anyway when installed. And cut off the excess threads on the ball.
Even after carving it up it...
Actually the quitite might be hackable into fitting. It should be ok to cut off about 1/2 - 3/4 inch off the end without affecting it's strength, and that might be enought for it to drop into the cavity next to the rib. That same part of the thing actually sticks out the back of the receiver...
Quietite does not fit :/
At least not well enough to close the cover. I guess if you don't care about the cover then it fits in the spot well enough. Or if you don't mind carving up one of the vertical ribs on the wall it might be made to fit.
Apparently only just the right hitch will fit all...
If it's narrower, then it doesn't match. Which is it? I don't believe the wheel actually matches (the outward facing appearance) the rest of the wheels. Pics or it didn't happen. And do you have SR5 or some other trim level?
And what in the world are you talking about different angle on the...
ok just picket up my order
The part number is for a set of 5 lug nuts for around $20.
I ordered 4, and got 4 sets of 5.
It is clearly a 2-part construction with the real nut covered by a seperate shell, which I don't like, but at least the shell part looks like a pretty thick sheet it was made...
Same thing when we picked up my wife's 2025 Prius a couple months ago. It came with locks and I wanted all normal lugs. It was a little under $100 for 4 lugs. At least they installed them without charging any labor. I don't need anyone else to do that job but I wanted it done right then not...
I doubt it matches. If he has an SR5 then it's going to be like the picture I posted above. The left is the stock wheel with a different tire (I put together a full size spare for myself with a new stock wheel and the same aftermarket tire I have on the other 4), the right is the stock spare...
My 3rd gen is rusting away, and I can't wait another year, and I don't want a 4th or 5th gen, and I don't want a Jeep or Ford or anything else, and Slate isn't going to be ready soon, and Scout isn't going to be ready soon. (I know 4R, Slate, and Scout are 3 wildly different things with...
There is a part number for black overlays, and I just installed a set today, and I do not really like them. They do cover up the bronze with black, but they also totally change the surface shape.
The letters now look puffy. I'll probably peel them back off and either live with the bronze (it...
That's interesting... I don't see any sonar sensors in the rear, but my SR5 still does warn of obstructions when backing up somehow. Nothing for forward though, just the long range radar for the cruise control and crash avoidance, does nothing when parking and inching up to a wall or another car...
I used these two things, orderable together:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FDB2C7YX
(The one that says "Console Organizer + Hidden Box")
The tray comes with rubber inserts for the flat bottom surfaces so the crap doesn't rattle on the plastic.
Pretty happy with them. The console is so deep that...
My blue sr5 came with them and I think I'm going to peel them off. I didn't order them and I generally hate tacked-on gewgaws like that. If it really provides some protection then it's ok because it's useful, but I'm not convinced it provides any meaningful protection.
I have it. The end caps are both spring loaded with rubber on the very ends. It pops in and out of simple pockets on the left & right easy.

The problem with the cup holder is not a matter of getting used to it. The design is fundamentally backwards. You just don't notice the problem if you happen to have cups that are hard and smooth, which is most people most of the time.
Find a thermos with a rubber bottom that goes all the way...
And of course the point being, it uses the console screen, and does not involve any exotic hacks or extra brain boxes for car-play or android auto etc. Just a pretty dead simple composite video connection essentially spliced in place of the backup cam. And without even modifying any factory...
