the display will show zero once you get into the reserve. but that a moving target since the DTE display varies from tank to tank since it recomputes based on previous tank numbers.
yeah keep a log of your fill ups and try to fill up consistently the same. the wife and i try to refill at 1/2 tank if we can. not only for winters in ND (for safety) but that way i know the gas bill wont be outrageous.
the wifes tundra is usually around $45 dollars for 1/2 tank.
mine has been...
tow/haul mode turns off quite a bit
also you can turn off some of them in the MID display settings
also switching from assisted cruise mode to normal cruise mode turns some off
i know lane tracing feature i hate with a passion, have it turned off.
and since cruise control is always on either...
if i remember correctly was bad adhesive to hold the flare to the body correctly that was supposed to be fixed in production on the tacoma's 4runner.
it might have been just a bad install and during the trip from japan it might have separated.
big issue is to make sure the new install is done...
technically its stated that you shouldnt be able to put more than 72 L into a canuck 4runner. anymore than that you risk ruining the charcoal canister and filling up the neck.
then it would be a fault of the of pump. when was the last time that pump was certified? or do you have pump certifications in loonie land :)
but i am not sure what the rules are in canuck land is for gas tank reporting. you folks up there have weird rules and configs we dont have across the...
i havent notice it yet, but then again it really has not gotten cold enough here to justify seat/steering heaters yet or remote starts.
its only hit 26F so far. maybe saturday when it hits 9F i might.
probably the same issue that TRD Jon had on his tacoma 4runner, fender flares not flush with the body or having ripple issues along the leading edge of the flare that meets the body.
any hydrophobic coating will help with snow/ice build ups to shed easier.
just be careful on painted parts that they dont dis-color. plastic headlights/tail lights are ok, camera lens are ok but ill advised for stuff like rain-x
i know it turns my rubber wipers hard after about a year of use...
tank holds 19 gals
effective gas that can be used is roughly 16 gals (DTE gauge/miles to empty)
roughly 10-20% of a tank size is reserved for idiots that like to run the tank dry and end up burning up your fuel pump (if done repeatedly) or running out of gas.
this is standard procedure not...
unless they are getting a hybrid, the price increase on the non hybrids is 1800 to 2200 vs the 2025 models. dealer doesnt need to provide an incentive.
i updated my pricing matrix to show hybrid total price increase since release. had to rummage thru my old excel tracking files to pull msrp base prices
this sounds like the jbl fiasco with the 2018 tundra's.
had this same issue in our 2018 platinum tundra, and it was a standard issue across the whole refresh on the 2nd gen tundra (aka 2.5 gen as some would call it)
it was resolved on the 3rd gen tundra jbl system. the bass is noticeable now...
