One would think that, but it seems that what you see on the 1958 is just what you get if you opt for that vehicle. None of the LC trims have any acoustic glass on any part of the vehicle iirc. LC turned out to be purely an early adopter/nostalgia tax with some mind-bogglingly stupid "features"...
Judging from this 3rd gen Taco swap thread, things never turn out as simple as they seem :ROFLMAO: in all fairness, TOD swap for Fords does seem to be just about that simple and mostly about the electronics side of things. But for Toyota there's also the ADD actuator in the front diff that seems...
150k would be embarrassing for an engine as specifically designed for durability as the T24A. Abused fleet Ecoboosts left and right have all been trucking along for years, doing 200-300k on standard maintenance in pretty rough conditions. The 2TR might be a lot to live up to, but I don't think...
It's hardly unique to toyota, lol, it's on the rocker panels of plenty of trucks although the extent to how high it comes above the rocker panel depends

I don't think it will fit very well if at all - the 3 row slopes up continuously into the back of the 2nd row seats, while the 2 row starts lower below the rear cargo sill and also isn't flat because it dips down near the 2nd row. So conceivably the 2 row mat might be a bit longer overall
If anything, it's telling how much of a dinosaur Toyota has been on the tranny front. Adaptive learning has been a staple ever since I drove 6R80 and 6L80 vehicles. It's just that it can only be as good as the transmission is good, cough cough incorrigible 10R80, and has a more visible impact in...
Electronics don't perceive temperature on the same scale as people. 48C is nothing for automotive components or even most ordinary electronics these days. I doubt Toyota didn't take temps in the hot sun into account for their components that are going to be exposed to it, the metal cooling fins...
Are you suggesting that it's a smaller or bigger drop than expected?
I can't find a C size for 265/70R17 KO3 on any official lists or big retailer websites. The E tire is 55 lb, up from <35lb stock, so a 1-2mpg drop seems to be par for the course (if anything, a pretty good result for that big...
Is this brand new news that the dealer has the inside scoop on? Or is it just bs they told you to placate you for the time being? The most that anyone on here has reported thus far are TSBs but for other TNGA-F vehicles, not 4Runner.
Engine bay is so cavernous with the T24A in the Taco and 4R that there's plenty of room for air to flow every which way around the engine.
Also, air to air intercooler for longitudinal applications vs a small air to water intercooler for transverse
Welcome to the 2020s. There isn't a single 8/9/10 speed unit, longitudinal or transverse, that I can't pretty easily trip up at some point by putting it through stop-and-go or other confusing traffic conditions. It's just a lot of pretty closely spaced ratios for them to sift through constantly...
Gratz, looks excellent in white.
The starting price is going to be beyond obscene in Canada though (as seems to be par for the course for larger Hondas here) so I'll pass.
The main thing to me is not so much the car itself, but every time someone rags on the T24A and brings up a NA V6 like the...
Look on the bright side, your experience will still be infinitely better than a truck with PT4WD that has no weight over the rear axle.
3 peak ATs as winters depends on the tire. Some are acceptable. Some are deplorable. And all of them are deplorable on ice.
I have the same thoughts about Toyota's "recommendation", the 10 miles per month seems really arbitrary. In Ford trucks of yesteryear (IWEs changed at some point in the last 5 years to be less problematic I think), the front hub engagement design was different but also problematic in the vacuum...
Probably less to do with the fact it's a hybrid, and more some combination of underhood sound insulation on higher trims + built-in engine shutoff in the Hybrid. It's otherwise the same engine. There are some 1 piece aftermarket solutions to that popping up on Amazon now that are much cheaper...
There is a pretty eye opening video on the LC - sorry to the few LC owners on here but my gut feeling on that vehicle being a nostalgia-fueled cash grab feels more validated now haha.
I know there is a lot that the 4R doesn't have to worry about, on account of sharing with Taco / doing better...
Definitely no change to the rear multilink system, pretty sure it's just the shocks that are different between SR5/Sport/regular OR. Bigger rear brakes and larger rear axle comes in the hybrids only.
I don't think anyone has published a list of spring rates yet, but I don't reckon there would...
How long have you had your SR5? I really hope the steering clunk was either an isolated batch issue, or has been identified and rectified already. Because your dealer really did an outstandingly rare job by today's service dept warranty troubleshooting standards
