Finally got the chance to get out and see how the Pro handled the trailer and trails. To start, this things pulls the trailer so much better than my 5 gens. You can’t even tell it’s back there.
On the interstate and on the trail on day 1 I was disappointed in the ride with the load. It felt rough and seemed like I felt a lot of bottoming out but remembered while sitting at camp that the suspension is adjustable. I clicked each one to level 2 and it completely transformed the ride. It’s still not as nice as my Icon setup on my 16 but it isn’t bad either.
For the wide, gloss fender flairs, get them PPF’d immediately, if not they will get peppered quickly. I have an appointment tomorrow to have mine done. I was hoping they could fit me in before the trip but sadly that wasn’t the case and I have a couple chips now on both rear flairs.
Overall, I am very happy with my decision to upgrade to the 6th gen but if I ever get the 5th gen itch, I’ll just drive my wife’s 21 Pro.
