Any delays in the Apple Carplay connection when the car is starting?

Been following your mods on YouTube, you're killing it.

I wouldn’t say a delay, but it does need to connect to it. I would say 10 seconds to get on CarPlay screen

The specs say 45 watts per channel, whereas a quick Google search says the stock SR5 system likely has "up to 25". Do you notice a difference? After buying this head unit, would it make more sense to do the speaker upgrade/sound deadening as well?

I followed your FitcamX video to do my dash cam install and that went very well (though it took me 10 minutes to stuff all of the wires back in). It's been great.

I’m not an audiophile but I would say there is an improvement. You can probably get even better sound just from the EQ options on the head unit alone.

just ordered the unit . Any other tips for the head unit? I ordered and the volume Knob and I hope that its easy to install it.

Did you end up installing the front Camera ?

I guess with this unit we are loosing some of the hidden menus from toyota correct ?

I am not sure if that's silly questions but did you loose the Remote Control , remote start door lock etc through Toyota application when you changed Toyotas Head unit to this one ?

Can you still access the toyotas Service menu through this unit ?

Yup they all still work. There is a separate factory settings which accesses Toyota services

How about the Service Menu and the settings for unlock car when you park or the Lock doors at specific speed. Are there settings in the Head unit to do change these settings or I should do them before I install the unit ?

I read in the web from some people that when they installed the unit they did not have access to these settings and they had to change them from Carista
