I could have sworn the prinsu install video on a 6th gen didn't have any drilling.

Not a fan of the look of this one.

Yeah no drilling required for Prinsu. This is 'basket style' so a lot different.

There's a video. I haven't seen it. But I'm pretty sure it does. And even on the website. It says drilling is required. Between the two, I definitely like the look of the prinsu better. Just don't know how I feel about drilling a hole.

Prinsu's ladder requires drilling on the underside of the hatch. Their roof rack doesn't require any drilling.

Just ordered mine! 6-8weeks, the wait will be worth it
Did you get it installed? Mine is arriving tomorrow but they only have install instructions for land cruiser. I suppose I can just look for a video of removing the factory bars and maybe it would be about the same for the install since they just use the factory mounting locations. It's just more peace of mind to watch vehicle specific vids/instructions.

It got delivered last Thursday. Planning on installing it this upcoming Friday. On the fence about installing the ladder with the power liftgate. Feel like it would be expensive to replace those struts.

I usually stand on the inside of the doors when accessing the roof box and find that to be more usefull than the ladder. The ladder was useful when I had to get up on top of the roof which surprisingly I've done many times. I don't have a power liftgate so this won't apply to you but the ladder gives more leverage for opening and closing the trunk. If you can live without it and are concerned about the struts, you could probably get a good price selling it and you wouldn't miss it until that one day you need to run over and get up on the gobi rack to avoid a pack of rabid dogs lol. I like how it looks, it came "free" with the rack, and it was an easy install so I am keeping mine. hope that hepls.

I've had the ladder installed for the past month. No issues so far... but Gobi did say that they have strong struts coming out soon

I figured if it’s “free” might aswell get it. Gotta commit to the bit “widdle wadder”! Coworkers got me a mini ladder as a gag gift for my Tacoma. Figured it would be a mall crawler mod anyway.
