ARB factory roof rack weight: 45-50 lbs pounds

While I had the factory ARB roof rack off to compare fuel economy I decided to weigh it. It is 45-48lb, that did not include the 4 steel mounts so call it 50lb. It is springy so the scale fluctuated. I found it pretty slick in regards to wind drag. Under 60mph their didnt seem to be much difference, aboved that on the highway i would estimate a 1-ish mpg loss on my daily trip to work but that really depended on traffic speed.

Do you get alot of wind noise with the rack? Been going back and forth between this rack and just getting the crossbars and buying a cheap rack I can take off when I'm not using it

There is slight wind noise when pushing 75-80 mph but I wouldn't say its too loud or intrusive.

Quick Question, Does the 4 steel mounts come with a rubber base?
I installed one on my TRD Sport and don't seem to remember seeing any rubber gromets of base / weather strip under those steel mounts.
So, I took my OEM rubber grommets that held down my roof rails that came on my original bolts and mounted tham under the steel mounts through the fastening bolts to provide a moisture barrier.
