If I did not know which generation was which, I would have a hard time telling which of these handsome beasts was the newer generation. Both look the part, ready to take on the outdoors.

Does this 5th Gen have a lift?

The one on the right (frontal) is a 6th Gen 2025 Trailhunter. The other is a TRD Pro not a TRD Off Road. I have no idea what year the TRD Pro is.

That TRD pro looks lifted. The Trailhunter is supposed to have 10.1 inch clearance. The old TRD pro I think was also 10 inch or maybe 10.5. But on the pic it look like the old trd pro sits 2 inches higher.

Both look good and the 5th gen has aged well on the exterior, but the 6th gen clearly looks more modern with sharper styling. Everest color keeps impressing me the more I see it in different lighting conditions.

The interior is where the biggest upgrade is IMO -- from design to the technology.

Yea that 5th gen TRD Pro is lifted. This is what the factory height looks like...

A couple of thing that make me feel like the TRD Pro might be factory height...

The trailhunter looks to be sitting on a slope making it slightly lower.

The front bumper heights are different obviously, but the frame underneath, mirror height, and rooflines all look pretty similar in height.

So many light but yet distinctive changes. I keeps the 4runner heritage design going strong to me. You can spot that vehicle as a 4runner from a mile away and for that I think the Design team did a fantastic job!

I just wish there was a place to drive the new ones before trying to purchase.
