Just wrapped up an aftermarket subwoofer install in my 2025 4Runner ORP, and I’m impressed with how it turned out. Running a single 12” Skar SVR in a ported box, paired with a Rockville RD1000.1 amplifier. I used the Skar 4-gauge OFC wiring kit to get everything hooked up. The whole job took me about 3 hours start to finish.

For the audio signal, I tapped into the Beat-Sonic 3T3 amp behind the head unit, which I installed a while ago— grabbed the RCAs there, which also provided a remote wire for the Rockville amplifier. I also mounted a bass knob on the driver’s side so I can change the bass level on the fly.

Simple setup, but man does this thing bump. Super happy with the output for just a single 12.

Hey great looking speaker, just wondering if they make these external speakers in Bluetooth?

I know some people are saying that JBL Bluetooth speaker on the dashboard is gimmicky, but I have seen it in action and it's useful when you are at a park or a campground or some area where you're away from your truck just enough and want to have some external music but not blast out the campsite.
Only downside is that it's eye Candy to the would be Smash and grab vagrant!.

Great looking setup! I'm still waiting for the control module replacement to come out so I can ditch all of the JBL speakers and run proper amplifiers and avoid that beat Sonic line level amp, although that is a good option and it sounds decent I just wish the replacement module adapter would hurry up and get on the market. That would certainly speed up the installation process and allow some good sound processing and amplifiers to be added.

I have used my bluetooth speaker several times. It comes in handy when camping, at the park or during portrait shoots.
