Hey all, 2025 TRD Sport owner here. After just over 5k miles, the passenger rear tire on my wife’s 6th gen literally shredded. This happened on the side of a busy highway in one of the worst parts of town with our 9 year old daughter in the vehicle.
Has anyone else had issues with these tires? Can we trust the other 4?

Recommend you get rid of those 20” wheels.

Some 18” wheels and all terrain tires would be smart. 265/70/18 Michelin Defender LTX MS2 are pretty highly regarded.

Did she run over something? It seems unlikely that a tire would grenade for no reason- I’ve been married and witnessed the lack of attention given to debris on the road, lol. That said, if it was a defect in manufacturing I doubt it would be a problem with the other tires.

I've been running Yoko's for years and this sounds strange to me. I would be willing to bed that she punctured a tire (nail or something) and didn't notice as it went flat. That's generally when tires come apart.
