On a flat level surface just look at the front of your truck at bumper level about 20 ft back. If you see excessive angles of any type you're out of alignment. The rear does not have any alignment because it's a straight axle. Your true test is if the truck pulls in any directions or if you see excessive wear after placing a chalk mark across your tires. Just my two cents

Several years ago i took my wife’s car in for an oil change. As i sat in the waiting area service advisor after service advisor came in and told each person sitting around us they did a courtesy wheel alignment and they needed an alignment done. Of course they all said yes, do it. When they came to me i said no thanks, it’s just fine. As soon as i got on the highway i could tell they messed with it because it was pulling hard right, which it never did prior. Dishonest people there and never went back. Now when i drop my vehicle off (different place) I always tell them not to check the alignment. They still claim they do half the time but I just tell them I noticed that and am short on cash and will schedule an appointment next pay day. Alignment jobs are big money makers for them so upselling is just an opportunity for those who don’t know better.
