I live down at sea level and know in Colorado and higher elevations, usually your gas stations have gas starting at 85 octane. What do you fill your tank with? I'll be visiting in about a month.

I live in NM which is actually a little higher than CO in some places like Santa Fe and Los Alamos ect. We run 86 octane in our non turbo vehicles and 91 in the two vehicles with turbos.

I'm running 87 in my 4runner… if it was NA 85 would probably be fine, but with the turbo i wouldn’t want to risk it… plus its new and i wouldn’t want to do something that could be detrimental to the engine.

I run 91 in Colorado, get a little bit better MPG and it's a forced induction engine, so why not.
