Hi all, I do have to say it has been great reading all the post people have made and were very helpful! So I decided to join the forum to share my build and some things to help others out! I am mostly planning to keep my vehicle stock but I have purchased a second set of wheels for the winter and for off-roading.

I got the trailhunter OEM bronze wheels (set of five to have full sized spare)

running Falken wildpeaks AT4s (got them as I was berry happy with AT3s I had on my previous vehicle.

I have added a Thule Motion 3 XL which I plan to pretty much drive with all the time since I have two large dogs that get the trunk all to themselves.
I have had the car since beginning of May and put a little over 15,000 miles on it.

The the gold rims look good on yours.

I’ve just done the front skid plate and recovery points and the air dam removal.

i got mine on 4th of July sale and the local dealership by me always has sales on all there items year round for some reason which went on top of the the 4th of July sale!
Was a great deal! for 5 rims with caps paid $1,136 and that’s with tax included.
I haven’t done skip plates yet or any other underbody protection. I do want to but realistically I’m not gonna have time to off-road much any time soon so that can wait for now.

did the added weight of the skid plates affect gas mileage ?

maybe I took off the lower air dam at the same time. Before I was getting 14.9 and now it’s 14.8 :) lol. My 5th gen got 15.5 so all good. It’s probably cause I don’t drive it much and when I do it’s not far.

I won’t be doing any off roading in the near future so mostly for looks. I want to either level the front up like 1.25 inch’s maybe but I also am waiting to see if I’ll dump the shocks and get bilstien 5100s. I had those before and had them set at 1.75 in the front with a 1 inch spacer in the rear.

I’m getting between 15-20 mpg on the highway (depends on speed)

I’m fine with that, I’m coming from an F-150 v6 which never did better than 18 mpg.

I was thinking of leveling mine but I did that with the F-150 but then it sometimes got a click sound at full lock, all mechanics just said that’s normal 🤨. But that click bothered me so much that I don’t want it to happen with this one.

one thing I wish they did have as an option is an extended tank from the factory. My F-150 had a 36 gallon take so was still getting between 550-600 mile ranges per fuel up when not towing.
