OK fellas! This is my first 4Runner and getting into the off-roading thing. Is a roof lightbar over the rack necessary on the Trailhunter? Given the fact that is already comes equipped with one on the front grill. Would a pair of combo mounted at a-pillars be more beneficial? What are your thoughts on this...

I don't have my Trailhunter just yet but logically speaking I would say run a test of light output with yours and see.
Take your truck to a street at night that doesn't have any street lights and very few if any houses and throw all the lights on, including the high beams. see what kind of beam throw you're getting and what the beam pattern is. You can also do this parked on the edge of a field, facing in to the field, or a big empty unlit parking lot.

Good idea... I will try this and check back.

Another thing I just thought of is the fact that the OEM bar light can only function if the high beams are turned on. The roof bar can be turned on/off independently.
