Great post and story! I went through the same, Trailhunter vs TRDPro pros and cons. Put down for Trailhunter but was ready to bail to start again for TRDPro if need be. I found it really quiet with windows up, and don't drive with them all down much anyway. Even having just the passenger window up and the rest down, it's super quiet. But,,, my wife loves the sound! I make fun of her 'tunning' her fake Audi engine noise to the top she loves it so much. She grew up with muscle cars, and lives for the vroom. She was sold on the Trailhunter at first sight and drive! And it's my truck, guess we'll be sharing it now...

Great write up.

I am currently researching 2026 4Runners for a purchase next year if interest rates get better. I ruled out the TRD Pro because of the hood scoop. I would much rather have snorkel noises over a shaking hood driving down the road. I also like the extra skid plate, air compressor, wheels, and yellow accents over red.

What I am currently torn on is getting the ORP over the Trailhunter. I think the extras the TH has though is worth the extra cost. Just need to see if I am good with the iForce over just the turbo 4 cylinder.
