Stealership added Extended Warranty and Maintenance on my Loan

The dang Stealership added the extended warranty and some TFS maintenance on my loan. I guess I was to excited about the new 4Runner and getting out of that place I missed it. Totally my screw up for not paying attention when signing all their BS. Now I am having to get them cancelled since I purchased an extended warranty from Jerry Johnson which is much better.

Does anyone know really what this TFS Maintenance would be for and what is excluded with it? Maybe just oil for the next 5 years which 2 is already covered. I am guessing it is not worth $1210.00 for 5 years of service?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should have paperwork indicating the coverage of the TFS maintenance plan. It "probably" just covers the standard vehicle maintenance stuff. If it's not up to your expectation of coverage, you might be able to cancel it, but not sure. definitely cancel the stealership warranty bs.

you can canx them within 30 days for a full refund. the refund just goes back to your loan balance.

as long as they are TFS plans, 3rd party i dont know the rules.

the TFS maintenance plan is just a oil change plan if i remember correctly unless its a wheel plan or something else.

if after 30 days they prorate the refund based on mileage and time

oh i didnt notice you bought it from fd-warranty. surprised fd-warranty got you a plan thru him since TFS will only let you get it once even after you canx it once.

unless they are 3rd party plans then that doesnt apply.

If you don't cancel the maintenance plan make sure it is accepted at any Toyota dealer and not just the selling dealer. You may want to take your vehicle to another dealer in the future.

It’s says it covers any recommended service under normal driving conditions. My son in law got one on his new Tacoma. It covers tthe big recommended services at 30 and 60 which I think they change diff fluid. I don’t know what the price of those are, might want to call a dealership and see. Might be a wash in cost.
