Good info. I thought it would have been rechargeable as well. But now that I know that I’ll definitely just get the non OEM option.
As far as the reasoning that AA batteries are safer than a rechargeable battery, doesn’t make much since to me since the removal speaker is rechargeable

I started researching oddball items to make a little kit that has all the classic janky repair stuff as a joke.

First, a small roll of duct tape, then some zip ties wrapped around that, and some ketchup packets of lube to take the place of wd-40, maybe other packets of glue & wet-naps stuffed in the center. And a single 10mm socket in the center.

Still plenty of room for some bailing wire too.
And since the depth is just a hair under 1.5 inches while the tape is only 1 inch, there is room for something almost 1/2 inch thick and flat. Emergency cookie?

Maybe a couple coin cell batteries for the key fobs. But that screws up the gag by actually being useful.

I just grabbed one of those round lights at a local lowes, and it does fit exactly perfect both diameter and depth, but a bonus that's not apparent from the pics is the orange outside part is all silicone rubber not plastic, so it doesn't rattle.
