So I just took possession of my Trailhunter today. So far love the power delivery vs the old model. However I haven't crawled under the truck yet. Has anyone looked if the rear diff breather valve has the same problem as the previous generations? Specifically on the Gen 5 while the front and center had their breathers extended up and away the breather valve on the rear diff was just a nub on top of the rear diff. Obviously this could cause a problem if you during a creek or other deep water crossing completely submerged the rear diff and it sucked in water polluting the diff fluid. The ARB kit plus/minus other mods could mitigate this for the rear diff and locker but I'm just curious if anyone has confirmed its still a problem on the 6th gen

those little nubs are one way valves, so in theory no water should enter.

Sadly its been documented that when dunking a hot diff in cold water it can create a vaccum and suck water into the diff. And I'm still yet to crawl under the truck but I think I read where the front is no longer extended to the engine bay like it was on the 5th gen. Guess I'll be extending both for peace of mind

it kinda makes sense but it doesnt follow natural order.

if you vent all that hot air/gases/volume out? what replaces that volume when everything cools down?

now you are at a negative pressure within the housing which is probably not a good thing itself.

i imagine having a negative pressure/vacuum will just cause the dissolved gases to be pulled out and cause the oil to foam up more so?
