I got the skid plate package in steel and sliders installed recently. Overall, pleased with how they look.

Thought it would be worthwhile to mention that RCI did not supply a kit to mount the sliders on my Non-threaded frame and the shop had to come up with their own method which seemed less than ideal.

No significant issues with the skids. They did their job recently when I took a poor line over some big rocks. However the significant impact caused the rearmost cross member to bend resulting in the vertical sheet metal support digging into the exhaust. Perhaps the cutout being moved to further to the left would've prevented this.

do these stick out further than the door bulges? if someone swings their door into your car (assuming their car is lower), would their door make contact with these before your door?

Yes, I would say they stick out about 1.5 inches wider than the door

does your install include the transfer case skid from RCI? I ask because I bought mine but the cross member doesnt seem to align properly with the holes without interfering with the front of the fuel tank

I had it installed at the shop, and I'm not sure if they encountered the same issue. I know that the cross member didn't fit great around the exhaust and they modified it a bit. I had the fuel tank skid installed recently as well, bit not fully aware if there were any difficulties/modifications required

Thanks. Wondering if I need to mod mine or just return. I guess we have to acknowledge that not all third party parts are made to match perfectly. When you get the chance, it would be very helpful if you could take a picture of the cross member for reference. Happy new year!

Hi, I got the skid plate package from RCI: engine, transmission, transfer case, + also cat guards installed at an offroad shop near San Jose. I have the Off Road trim, with an OEM metal gas skid. Because of that I decided to save money on my build for now and didn't order the RCI gas skid.

When the shop was installing my transfer case skid which comes with a cross member, they found that they had to trim down my OEM gas skid a bit.

I OK'd this, because they only had to trim it down about 1-2 inches, and the gas tank itself is still covered.
