Hey guys! I got a message from my dealer saying that Toyota Canada has taken care of my platinum order, and my 4Runner should be arriving around the end of November
. Iām super excited about this news! Iām pretty sure this will be the first and only platinum in MB for a while ;p. I wasnāt expecting this at all; I thought Iād be waiting until some time in 2026 to get my car. So, hereās the full story: I put down my deposit in June 2024 at Crown Toyota in Winnipeg, MB, and I checked in with the dealership pretty often. By May 2025, I had visited and test-driven one of the 4Runners, and it was amazing! They also told me I was on top of their waiting list, so the next vehicle they get will be mine. Honestly, after reading tons of posts and checking out all the figures, I started to doubt that Iād get mine this year 
The main reason was that Platinum is one of the rarest trims on the lineup, and I only wanted the cutting-edge silver colour. Thatās actually not too bad since itās the top three colour thatās been made the most. Plus, I probably thought Iād get a 2026 model because of how the allocation system works. Since Winnipeg isnāt a huge city like some in Ontario, BC, or even Alberta, it makes it more likely that theyāll supply those large cities first instead of Winnipeg. And, of course, what I ordered is a platinum trim thatās been manufactured only about 1/40 of the 4Runners, and thatās US figures, and Canada is getting only a portion of that number. It looks like the manufacturing for platinum is slightly increasing these days or maybe Canada is getting more allocations..
