So I'm looking at a new SUV for my mom and the GX550 Premium+ and the 4Runner Limited non-hybrid are under consideration. There's a bit of a price difference between them but my thought was that if a Toyota dealer wanted to put add ons or mark ups on a 4Runner Limited non-hybrid, it made more sense to just go with a GX550 Premium+. Then I started going back to my roots and researching the 2026 BMW X5 xDrive40i as a candidate for her replacement SUV. Most BMW brokers are offering 9-11% off MSRP and you can stack the $4,000 BMW military rebate, $500 loyalty rebate, and $500 BMW CCA member rebate. It basically totals almost $12,000 off MSRP on a 2026 X5 xDrive40i which puts a $73,000 MSRP X5 around the neighborhood of what a 2025 4Runner Limited non-hybrid costs. The X5 would also be $10,000-$12,000 less than a GX550 Premium+.
