Most dealers in Ontario will sell at MSRP. Minimal inventory so get on a wait list at a dealership or two

But then there is also the dealership fee - max up to $1000 as allowed by Toyota Canada

I've been waiting for 2 months now in Ontario to be recently told there will be a delay with no ETA for delivery. F'ing Toyota. I got mine at MSRP and they threw in $2000 worth of accessories. Dealer fees were almost nothing.

The delay should be minimal now. Late Dec there was a port hold so that they could install intrusion sensors on new Canada market 2026s. Port seems to have settled into a rhythm (speaking for BC) and theyre pumping out tons of 4runners to dealers now. My sales guy said 1 came in Jan to the truck with mine the last week of Jan (had 4) and they've received "a lot" in Feb.

My dealer is selling at MSRP no markup and the same $990 fees toyota canada shows. You're lucky theres only $2000 in accessories because another local Toyota group (has 3 locations) seems to be doing 8-10k in dealer install addons (wheels, tires, etc). They dont seem to include the stock wheels/tires too as im seeing fb marketplace profiles of salespeople also selling stock wheels and tires lol

The $2000 in accessories were freebies! They wanted to sell, I was pleased with the transaction. No forced add ons like many Toyota dealers push.

A few years ago when my Mojave was stolen there was one Tacoma TRD Pro available in my area, sitting in the showroom, with 8k of BS on it. It was the end of that model yr and it wasn't selling yet they wouldn't budge on the BS. Some of these dealerships live in a weird dreamland! In the same city there is a dealership that still has 3 2025 Tacoma Trail Hunters they can't move, likely again because of the dealer add ons. Craziness.

That sensor is brutal lol. I'm hoping I can eventually take it out. I just need to figure out if it will cause any issues, if it's removed.

My runner arriver about 2 week early, which was a nice surprise.

Going to piggyback on this thread, I hope no one minds.

Can anyone walk me through the process in buying a Trailhunter in Ontario? Is it as simple as calling your local dealership, putting a deposit down, and waiting patiently? I don't know if allocations are so rare that some fuckery can be expected when it's delivered?

The dealership I worked with is in Sault Saint Marie, sales person was great. DM me if you want their name.

I live in Sudbury and never ever buy new vehicles locally due to BS with pricing. I'd travel as far as Windsor or Thunder Bay to save several thousand. Makes for a fun road trip and still saving significant $$.

Dealers in the GTA talked to me like I was a dummy. This dealer talked to me like they wanted my business. It is worth the drive!
