Moonroof auto opens, but then can go further...?

Ok, so this may be a total newb question (sorry in advance, I did search), but does the moonroof have "dual positions"? I hit the open button, and it'll slide back and stop, but then if I hit the button again, it goes back another 3-4". Is this standard behavior? I only ask as I had some work done a while ago and they had to drop the headliner, so I am just curious if they screwed something up and I need to recalibrate it or if this is normal. TIA!

It's normal. Supposedly, the first position is an "aerodynamic sweet-spot" to eliminate air buffeting. Hit it again and it opens all the way. Same on mine, and I imagine all of them

I never noticed that before and just thought either I'm an idiot or the shop messed something up. Turns out: I'm just an idiot. Thank you for confirming!

That dual-position opening is completely normal behavior for the 6th-generation 4Runner moonroof. The first stop is a comfort position to reduce wind noise, and pressing it a second time opens it fully.
