Loose gas cap?

Has anyone noticed the gas cap on the 6th gen seems loose?

for instance when going to fill up does the cap seem like its not screwed on tightly and it takes very little force to unscrew it? even when screwing it on to “1 click” it doesn't seem to be on tight?

could the gasket be bad? and could this effect performance? or is this normal

Typically on any vehicle if your gas cap jsnt sealed you will throw a trouble code. I dont have my 4runner to check yet, but I wouldnt be worried unless the check engine light was on.

I had a 2017 Jeep Wrangler before I got my new 6gen 4Runner. The gas cap would turn and go click click click several times. I noticed that on the 4Runner the gas cap only clicks once and then won't turn anymore. On the 4Runner I have never had an idiot light come on. In the Jeep my gas cap did break down and the check engine light came on several times till I replaced the cap.

Agreed. I give it a solid single click once filling up but each time I go to fill up again it seems already loose and takes no force to start unscrewing. Agreed the I haven't seen a code pop or anything but it seems weird that it's loose already when I go to refuel.
