I have a TDR ORP and cannot get the instrument cluster to hold my selection. For example, I set the TPMS guage and it shows up for a while but within a few starts, it disappears and reverts back to the gauge cluster when I took delivery.

I have tried numerous ways to get it to hold (deselecting all but the one I want and selecting them all) but it reverts back to original settings. My dealer service can't figure it out either. They just say bring it in on a weekday so they can talk with Toyota.

Does anyone else have this problem and any success in correcting?

My wife and I have had the same issue on both of our driver profiles. After an embarrassingly long time, though, I also realized that there are 3 different clusters you can set (by pushing the left/right arrows). I think at least part of my problem is that I was just looking at a different set. I am not 100% sure that was the only issue, but since I identified that, I haven’t had any issues. In any case, nothing about changing the settings is intuitive at all. It’s probably my biggest complaint about the car.

I think you guys might be switching profiles by accident....Maybe my video helps?

Tried again after watching the video but the guages still revert back to the settings when I picked up the 4 Runner from the dealer.

One odd thing is the number 2 screen is holding consistently but 1 and 3 just revert.

There seems to be a glitch, but I can't figure it out.

Anyone have any ideas on how to correct? I didn't really want to drop my ORP at the dealership for a whole day.

My ORP does the same thing. I‘m pretty sure it’s not user error because I don’t have this problem with my wife’s RAV4 Prime.

Mine does it also it’s annoying it can’t tell if I am hitting the button or not. I noticed my wife’s 25 Camry does it also. We both share a single profile single Toyota app I wonder if that’s the issue probably follows to each car?

Found a strange solution and the guages are now holding.

I wanted the Trip A to show at all times but it kept reverting to the turbo Guage. Kept trying to place it on the left, so out of frustration, I put it on the right side and the fuel economy on the left. It worked and the guages are staying put. Went to the other screens and switched the desired guage to the opposite side. It worked, no more disappearing guages.

I have no idea why this works, it just does. Still believe it is a software glitch since why would it matter that a selected guage needs to be on the right or left side of the cluster. Very odd.

Glad I’m not the only one… This issue popped up for me and is making me miss my ‘14 with zero tech
