We took the 6th gen 4Runner on its first real adventure starting in Orange County, CA and headed up through Mammoth Lakes and Lake Tahoe where it was snowing, then followed the coast all the way to Forks, Washington. We came back down I-5 on the way home.

It was our first long trip in the new 4Runner and we were fully packed, so I was a little unsure at first. Once we got moving though, it felt solid right away and that nervous feeling went away fast.

The trip was a mix of snow, long highway days, elevation changes, fog, and a lot of time behind the wheel. The truck handled everything easily and never felt stressed, even loaded down. By the time we reached Forks, it just felt comfortable and easy to drive, which made the whole trip way more enjoyable.

One of my favorite moments was stopping along the Oregon Coast with the hatch open and the swing out open, just hanging out for a bit, when a bald eagle flew by while we were there. That moment alone made the trip feel really special.

A big reason it went so smoothly was the setup. We have been slowly building it with road trips and camping in mind, and this was the first time everything really got used.

Would love to do a similar route one day. How do you like the fenders? What hood is that?

Tremendous rig!! With that amount of lights, your custom license plate should be "LUMEN"

Any more photos of the build? And do you have any photos of the lighting turned on?

Great looking build. From your epic journey what mod would you say you noticed the biggest difference? Enjoyed the most?

Such a great looking rig! All though we visited the Oregon Coast only once it has been one of our most memorable trips. We also did the drive on the beach which felt never ending. Must of been so cool with the Bald Eagle crashing the party!! I've been looking into the Seibon Carbon Flares to match our hood but unfortunately it is out of our budget and the NYTOPs are 1/2 the price. How has the NYTOP flares been holding up?

I love the fenders ! The hood is oem but we had to order it through Toyota and then wrapped it in carbon fiber

Mhhh the mod I noticed the most I would say is the kings suspensions for sure and the tires , the tires are rated 10/10 and they do grip very well .

The one I enjoyed the most is the solidwoodworx drawer system! It helps keep my whole car organized especially during camping

I love the nytop flares, we have already taken it on some off road trails and they're holding on strong, I do recommend them because they are 1 inch wider on each corner , which allows you to get a better fitment for your tire and wheel set up.

Ty @arij I’m considering trying to figure out an OEM hood order and having it painted. It’s really tempting to order a set of the matte black NYTOP fenders to have painted at the same time. They look amazing on your rig.

If you are interested I can get you a better price on the nytop flares .
That's awesome. Thanks for the offer. Only other thought is how much color or weave difference is the carbon between Seibon and NYTOP?
