Nice. I'll keep it at 30 for now and check the wear on the next rotation. Maybe another chalk test too. I don't get snow in SoCal but I'm in CO right now visiting family and drove the 4runner and the ride was pretty good.
Wife wasn't having the idea of leaving the hood off the car till after we returned. So we drove careful to not tailgate and not speed or at least not super speed. Drove between 70-80 mph. Checked it at every stop and had no rock chips or scratches. We did find a wrap shop over here in CO and...
 That hood is a perfect match in that underground color. Just 🔥🔥 🔥! Ordered my wife's Seibon hood on Thursday morning, picked it up in the afternoon, and put it on when we got home, then drove over 1000 miles to Colorado from Socal.
Curious what everyone is running on their setups for tire pressure. What tire, tire size, and load? Stock/upgraded suspension? Ride quality?
I have a SR5 4wd with Baja Boss A/T 295/70/17 (33.7") E Load on Rough Country 1.5" Front leveling spacer. When I first put the tires on they over inflated...
We drive a 2025 SR5 4WD. Used as a "Pavement Pounder" for daily commuting and family weekend trips and the occasional dirt trail and long cross-state trips. We live in So. California and most of our weekend trips may consist of all different types of terrain from mountain, desert, and...
We had the 5th Gen SR5 with 3rd row seating to travel with our lil ones and their cousins. Made lots of memories traveling and what I miss most is our sliding 2nd row. It gave us more leg room for sure. Also miss the driver power seats.
Just ordered the G900 Tripro Bumper Dash Cam. Hopefully it comes in soon to install it for our trip to Colorado next week!! Next up air duster and jump starter.
Appreciate it!! We definitely wanted something different than the standard black that everyone is running now. It took a little while to figure out the rim choice. It was back and forth with the Method 703s. But it was always going to be a machined finish.
Yah DIY most of the mods and holiday specials for parts right now helped a lot. But I can see mods going sideways real quick with an $$$ overlanding setup. Trying to pick up more stuff before all the Black Friday sales end. lol.
Absolutely right they’re not seat covers. They swap out the original cloth to theirs. Katzkin does have an aftermarket option to add cooling and heating which we probably should have done.
Defenders are nice, but we are loyal to Toyota reliability and affordability plus this is our 3rd 4runner our family has owned. Probably spent about $2.5k for everything done so far due to sweat equity for labor costs.
I don't have heated seats but I did do perforation in the middle of the seat that will help with slipping and also the airflow of the seat to keep it cool and not sticky during the summer. The rep did say if I had climate controlled seats it would work perfectly with the setup I have.
Going on a month of ownership and just over 1500 miles driven and have started mods for the wifey with rims and tires, custom interior, and other simple mods.
Current Mods
- Katzkin custom interior. Blk Leather/Red Stitch, Blk Suede wings with Blk Tekstitch scales
- Mickey Thompson Baja Boss...

Nice build. Its hard not to pull the trigger on mods the first few days for sure Wifey didn't want to drive the 4runner until we got our bigger wheel/tire setup. Seems Toyota upgraded the wheel wells on the 6th gens and listened to the consumer to have bigger wheels and tires with minimal...
