How can one determine a maximum amount of light bars and light pods can be illuminated simultaneously for a prolonged period of time? Where is the cutoff before a second auxiliary battery would need to be added?
Hybrid 4runner.

You gotta be more specific. What is an extended period of time? Are you talking with the car turned on or off?

Your 12v battery is 72ah, which is 864wh at 12v. Adding a second battery will extend the the wh on that, but if you're doing this w the truck off, you're gonna be playing roulette w being able to start the truck again if you get anywhere near that output

Driving a dirt rock trail for an hour. Engine running, not accessory mode.
Roof light bar spec sheet says 16 amps 240 watts. But would also maybe want high beam headlights and stock grille light bar on also.

It's not about the max capacity of the circuit. I want to ensure I don't drain the battery by running roof and ditch lights for a hypothetical continuous hour. I believe the hybrid doesn't have a typical alternator and wasn't sure how much extra juice the hybrid system would be putting out at trail driving speeds to keep the 12V battery charged

I have heard that the the factory auxiliary switches also come with an alternator--although I have not verified that. That said, I am also not certain how the hybrid battery plays with the little 12v battery, if at all (at least when the hybrid system is off). If the hybrid system is on I expect you would have no problem, as that will keep the 12v system charged. However, that is my logical thinking, not based on known fact!
