Traveled from Fairbanks to Anchorage and back this week and encountered so many 4Runners on the highway. There wasn’t a lot of traffic since it’s just before tourism season but about half of vehicles were 4Runners. Brand new black 6th gen SR5 with temporary tags, red 6th gen SR5 north of Anchorage. Another cutting edge SR5 in Anchorage. A Red 6th gen SR5 with huge tires in Anchorage. Several older 4Runners all up and down the highway. Great 4R week. Oh, and I loved every minute driving mine. 21.7mpg overall. Not bad for 65mph through the mountains.

I’m in Eagle River and see lots of 4R. I’m seeing a lot more 6g lately. We were in Fairbanks recently for Spring Break and rented a 5th gen 4R through Turo and I felt like I was driving a dinosaur. 😂
It’s kind of funny because the other day when I was at the alignment shop, I was looking out the window and saw two cutting edge 6g drive by.
I don’t think I’ve ever gotten 21 mpg- I usually am around 15-17. Could be my lead foot and big tires + lift though. 😬
