Full Size Spare Tire (265/70r17) Fits Under SR5

Hey everyone, just wanted to share with you that a full size spare tire at the 265/70r17 fits in the spare tire area of the 4Runner 6G.

I am running the Falken Wildpeak AT4W and they have been very impressive in the first 1500 miles. Quiet, good handling, good rain performance, and light trail use. Great look compared to stock tires as well.

I purchased a full size wheel on eBay after comparing prices at my local dealer in Colorado (the eBay) price was much cheaper. You can see that the tire hangs down a bit but not too bad.

What wheel did you buy to mount it on?

Indeed, as the TRAILHUNTER & TRD PRO both have a full size spare coming in at 265/70R18's
also the 285/70R17 fits to its 32.7" versus the TRAILHUNTER @ 32.6"

I believe the spare tire carrier is the same size on all models is it not?

Nice. I've got a spare SR5 rim that I got off ebay as well. I'm going to put a 255/75 under there, so I bet it will fit easily. No idea what to do with the donut spare, lol.

are you running 265/70/17 or another size> also any leveling ?

Checking on eBAY there are lots of Ford Bronco 17" wheels fit the 6x139.7 and +55 offset pattern. Do you have to get Toyota OEM's?

Bolt pattern looks to be the same but the Bronco/Ranger hub bore isn't.

Ironically, that also means it does fit the other way around LOL, since they can use a spacer adapter to make up for their larger bore wheel on smaller bore hub
