Maybe this has been discussed but is there a way (apart from placing the fob in a foil pouch) of making it so that when you walk up to the truck with the fob on you that the doors don't unlock? Preferably I'd like to half to actually press the fob unlock button. Thanks.

I have an ORP and it doesn't automatically unlock as I approach - it only unlocks if I (one) press the fob button or (two) grab the driver/passenger door handle for a moment. I would honestly like the proximity unlock feature as I most often open the rear driver/passenger door to load/unload work supplies before getting into the front seat.

I see a couple places online where the manual states "The door unlock settings can be changed" which leads me to believe you can either disable from the vehicle settings tab on the 14" interior screen or possibly from your Toyota app on your phone (if you have the digital key installed on your phone).

Thank you for your reply.
Let me clarify. You are correct, you do half to additionally pull on the driver or passenger door handle. I left that part out.
I still only want to press the unlock button on the fob to unlock.

Hmm. When in the 14" screen I only saw the two options of either opening just the driver door and then 2 seconds later it opens all the doors....or setting it to open all the doors at once. Sorry, don't know how to deactivate the door handle sensor. I wonder if there is a separate wire in the door loom that can be disconnected? Or if the functionality of the sensor on the back of the handle and the outer button is triggered in the actual handle and then they share the same wire in the loom by the kick panel? A schematic would be awesome!

the only option either via the head unit or techstream is to set door unlock to drivers or all door.

the only other option is to put the fob into battery save mode, then it should only unlock with the fob button press ( i think )
