I am looking at Bottle Jack Recovery Kits for my 4Runner. There are a few different options that include different combinations of lift plates and extensions.
I’d like to get only what I truly need and was hoping I could get some recommendations?

thanks in advance!!

828 Adventure has a video on a good option. I have the original Safe Jack extensions on my truck. Originally from my 5th gen. Back in 2017, I bought just the extensions and then found the same bottle jack for a fraction of the cost.

You can also find similar extensions for sale separately from no name brands or Safe Jack.

There’s also a cheaper option on the market that provides a bottle jack and all the extension pieces, but it’s heavy with a bulky steel base plate. Check out the 828 video.

For my original setup, I built some wood plates to secure the bottle jack in loose ground and/or stack them for added height. Much lighter than a steel base.

They stored under the front seats in my 5th gen, but the 6g doesn’t have adequate room below the seats.
