Continental TerrainContact A/T LT26570R17E 121S tire on the stock SR5 17" wheel fits right in the spare holder with what feels like at least another inch to spare.

The tire is wider than the original spare of course and hangs lower, but is still not lower than the diff.
Got a matching spare wheel from ebay for 190 shipped. Local tire shop mounted the tire for 25.

Full size spare with matching wheel and tire baby yeah!

Yep. Just put a 265/70/17 Rocky Mountain AT on a 2024 4Th gen Tacoma rim in there. I have cooper 265/70/17s so now the spare is the same size. Don’t understand the temp spare on an off road oriented vehicle regardless of the trim.

Thinking of these tires. How do you like them so far? Mind adding a few more pics of the truck from different angles? TY

Love'em.

But I don't think you can go by me because I think I'm either insensitive or just don't care about things other people seem to notice more.

Like I think other people have said this tire is a rougher ride but I think it's fine, but then again I think I just like a stiffer ride.

These are the LT version and E load rating so the E means they are harder and the LT means they have a flatter cross section from left to right and thicker tread depth. But since the truck is actually not all that heavy it means the tire is a little hard for the actual weight, but I'm just ok with all that.

The tread is more open than the factory tires but still pretty dense and so it's basically still mostly a road tire so it's pretty quiet and smooth on the highway. No drone. I just wanted at least *some* better tread for snow and the occasional mud off road and a little taller and a little better looks. They still don't look very aggressive but better than the original basically large car tires. Also I just like Continental for the wet traction. I didn't want to install a lift or other suspension changes and I don't like the over-stuffed look so I didn't want to go *too* much larger, so these are about 1 inch bigger in both directions. I wouldn't mind maybe slightly larger but I don't think the next available size that fits on the stock rims is good.

All in all I'm quite happy.
