Got to check out both side by side and it’s a really interesting comparison since they’re basically the same price (~$63k), but built for completely different buyers.
Performance
Land Cruiser clearly wins on torque and low-end power.
Capability vs Comfort
Same price… just depends what you value more.
I also put together a full side-by-side comparison video on YouTube if you want to see both in detail:
Curious what you guys would pick
Performance
- 4Runner Limited: 2.4L turbo (278 hp / 317 lb-ft)
- Land Cruiser 1958: Hybrid i-FORCE MAX (326 hp / 465 lb-ft)
Land Cruiser clearly wins on torque and low-end power.
Capability vs Comfort
- 4Runner: More road-focused, smoother daily driver
- Land Cruiser: Locking diffs, Crawl Control, more off-road ready
- 4Runner: Leather, ventilated seats, bigger screen, more premium feel
- Land Cruiser: Cloth seats, smaller screen, more basic setup
- 4Runner = optional 3rd row
- Land Cruiser = 2-row, better for gear/cargo
- 4Runner Limited: better daily comfort + tech
- Land Cruiser 1958: more capability + torque
Same price… just depends what you value more.
