Hi @papadop88, please read my post (the one right before yours). I am wondering if the calculation is off, not the actual mileage. If my post is not clear please let me know how I can clarify!
Apologies for reposting this; i did not notice I posted on the non-hybrid version of this thread. It is actually general to both, but guessing folks are only watching one or the other.
Question for folks with larger than stock tires: When you put on larger tires, is there a setting somewhere in...
Well, the front seats are in the way for them to make it to the windshield, But, I get your point and agree. I do worry about it, just don't find any of the solutions all that practical.
@TRD_GUY Of course, but any decent solution seemed impractical. Seat belt type attachments do not seem to work, and I question that they would help or possible be worse than untethered. Crates are better, but space makes often makes that impractical or impossible.
Nice looking crate, although I generally prefer wire ones when practical (better ventilation). Not as protective as the plastic ones though (that is, if hit or jostled hard they may not stay together as well). That said, although not ideal I generally do not use crates. First, I have very large...
Does look nice but I think I would be more concerned with the host exhaust gasses hitting stuff (plastic) it shouldn't, shortening its life. I expect there is a reason the designers brought it that far back. If it did get crunched, though, I'd probably cut that part off.
My ORP came with them. I do not mind the look at all (and, honestly, I do not care much about looks and do not generally do mods just for looks) but think they look fine. I use them every time, just easier. I am sure I could get in fine without them, but my wife has enough trouble even with...
Question for folks with larger than stock tires: When you put on larger tires, is there a setting somewhere in the car's system to tell it that? If not then MPG calculations will all be wrong, whether you look at the dash display or calculate it based on how much fuel you put in at the pump. I...
Nice job! One "hidden" thing to point out (I read the manual)--long pressing the Mode button pauses/resumes audio playback. Very handy, previously I always wondered why that control did not exist--turns out it does, just hidden.
I agree it would be nice to have more choices for the center...
Mine was on tight, but when I went off-road a couple weeks ago I removed it once there. When I got home I reinstalled it. Yesterday I discovered that the 4 outer bolts (2 on both sides) had come out. I had some similar ones (1/4'" and slightly longer) and installed those with washers. I noticed...
Normal. Basically the same as the pop you get if you open a manual hatch--it is the latch opening against the spring/latch pressure, probably in addition a solenoid mechanism which would add a bit more noise.
Looks nice yes, but personally I would never buy a black vehicle. I currently live in an area that gets hot in the summer (Southern CA) and black just gets hot. Actually the interior color being black is probably worse than exterior in that regard, but for some reason everyone (not just Toyota)...
The default delay on holding the driver side handle is 2 seconds before unlocking all. That setting can be reduced to 1.5 seconds, disabled, or increased, but only by Toyota (or probably that Carista (?) app. Using your hand on the passenger door unlocks all.
Agree with others, I've basically never used additives--my old Honda (not fuel injection, way before that) went 387000 miles without an issue (one minor engine issue the whole time; I think it may have been more emission related), Toyota Sienna with (currently) 382,000 miles--no engine issues at...
@CO/ZA Honda and Toyota use different algorithms in their hybrids, at least in the past. Of course this stuff is always changing. However, the 6G 4Runner most definitely can run electric at freeway speeds, albeit only when very minimal power is needed (like maintaining speed with a slight boost...
I do not have experience with the gas only other than a brief test drive, I bought the hybrid. Very impressive pickup--it is truly fun to drive (I am a safe driver, goes close to the speed limit, so I am not talking about stupid fun driving!). The factors I think that I think are important to...
