I have the same 4runner as you do with Goodyear Ultra terrains and I get better than 14 mpg when towing my 2k lb boat at 70 mph. Not sure why you are getting 14 on the highway. That said i will bet getting a 27 early next year.

The locking dif can absolutely get you out of situations ATRAC won't. There are many videos showing this very thing and it has gotten me out of situations. Having a locking front even more help and a lot of guys install that too as it is not a stock option.

What is the ride difference between the 2 on normal roads. Westcott says the ride is a little stiffer with their lift. Some on the forum say its the same as stock. I know the tires make a difference too but wondering what your opinion is. Thanks
