Sounds like you got quite the little project under your hands coming up here. I would love to send you pictures of the RCI skid package, but I havenāt had it up on the left to be able to take pictures of it from the bottom. Iām glad my list helped you out though.
Yeah, your observation is correct. After doing a little searching online and from what I already knew of the hybrid, the bottom was designed differently, which explains why on the hybrid the sequence goes engine, transmission, and then transfer case skid plate in that order. I called RCI and...
I have a hybrid and am fully skidded out with RCI steel skid plates, except for the transfer case. Do you happen to have a link or part # for a Toyota skid (just out of curiosity)?
Edit: FWIW RCI recently released their Transfer case skid plate. I just found it on their website.
Do you mean transmission skid plate instead of transfer case? If I am looking at your pictures correctly, the engine skid in on the left and the transmission on the right.
I'm surprised they gave you the option to upgrade. As I understood it, at least in my area, what the dealer gets, they get; there was no option to change anything. Unless maybe the dealer ordered them separately and is charging you for that as a dealer option.
I am going to have a cargo storage system built by someone locally. This will pretty much be the same system Solid Wood Worx/Wheels Feels uses including the sleeping system that covers the 2nd row. I have the hybrid model.
If anyone is interested in having a system built let me know. I live in...
I have the same brand and yes, there is wind mode noise and I get water leaking into my car when I wash it. Although I suspect that is due to the design of the rubber seal on the angle of the door. There is a small upright/perpendicular rubber piece about half way up the window which seems to...
I have their spacer kit and added the top hat. Make sure you order the correct parts! I had 3 people there tell me 3 different kits were needed/compatible/not compatible.
Overall Iām happy with the product and my ride feels more solid for some reason afterward. There are no torque specs...
FWIW-I agree with this. If youāre going to spend the time and money might as well go aftermarket and possibly a bit higher. It seems like Iāve always thought I wanted X amount of lift, then when the money is spent and the parts are installed, I say, crap I should have gone taller.
I came from my Nissan Pathfinder platform. Iāve been hearing Nissan talking about an Xterra for years. Kind of adhere this announcement please last year of the year before they were having financial difficulties.
