Do these mount to the frame or the body? It looks like from the photos they mount to the body like the tube steps. Thinking of replacing the factory installed steps.
  2. Real World MPG by Owners (gas non-hybrid 4Runner) - Post Yours ⛽️

I am considering whether the vehicle is right for my use case. I only use the 4runner specific features like 4wd etc on weekends and haven’t driven it in the winter or on a long highway road trip. If the cost of ownership including mpg doesn’t warrant the value i get out of it, then maybe I...
  3. Running boards standard for which trims? Aftermarket options?

Do these mount on the frame as opposed to the 1/4 panels? I have pio steps. Not predator. But I do not like that attach to the 1/4 panel.

Don’t know if this helps but I went with Cooper road and trail At 265/70/17 on the stock rims. If I had a do over I would have gone to 255/75/17. The ride is good but I think the width isn’t needed for my use case which is daily driver and fishing/camping. Ymmv.

I hand pressed everything but did not feel a loose clip. Oh well.

I have 650 miles on my new SR5. I noticed today that the fender flares are not flush to the quarter panels. About a 2mm gap in places. Is this normal tolerance.? first ever Toyota product so I don’t know if this acceptable. I would think at these prices they would flush..

I tried one o’clock and it seemed to overpower the stock speakers. I set it back to 12 and am very pleased, to the point I am not looking to replace the speakers yet.
  13. Upgrades for 2025 SR5 Audio

Added the Beatsonics unit. Significant improvement. May add speakers when a plug n play kit becomes available. Honestly do not know if it would worth it without sound deadening the doors and floor. Very thin metal.

Dealer showed it it to me on amTacoma and Sequoia as well. Said it was part of the rust prevention approach.
