5k miles i would think is the interval for oil changes. I did mine at or around 5k on my mkv supra and never had an issues. I dont think there would be any issues on this engine doing it at 5k

Has to be in the shop for a certain amount of days before you can do lemon law from what I remember. Hopefully they replace it quickly because that sucks to have that happen on a new vehicle. Hopefully you can get some sort of extended warranty out of it too
